But some fruits actually contain compounds that will harm the overall health of a growing fetus. For a healthy baby to be birthed, a balanced diet is necessary on the part of consumers. 5. Be Careful When Peeling Melons  

Cantaloupe and other melons feature hard shell layers on the outside. They are effectively safe for pregnant women to eat if prepared for them. However, there are safety concerns for pregnant women trying to carve away at these fruits. They may need knives or shearing tools to cut down into the melons. Specific procedures are in order before people may eat away at these fruits for those interested.
